2025 HAVELOCK CHILI FESTIVAL SCHOLARSHIPS

We are proud that the funds we raise through the Havelock Chili Festival support not only
local nonprofit organizations, but a scholarship program, as well.
Our $500 academic scholarships are awarded annually to Havelock seniors.
This year we are again awarding six (6) $500 scholarships in General Studies and
NEW THIS YEAR - 2 $500 scholarships for Students pursuing the Culinary Arts
for a total of $7,000 is awards!
Eligible candidates must be seniors at Havelock High School or Early College EAST.

HISTORY OF THE HAVELOCK CHILI FESTIVAL
Havelock is a small town that is proud of its partnership with Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, the largest Marine Air Station in the world.
The Havelock Chili Festival also cherishes its relationship with the leadership and Marines and sailors of MCAS Cherry Point.
In 1981, the Commanding General of MCAS Cherry Point suggested the creation of a festival that would provide his Marines, Sailors and their families
with an opportunity to connect with the Havelock community. Based on his vision, Havelock's Chili Cook-off concept was born.
Past Havelock Chili Cook-offs have included competitors from all over the great state of North Carolina and visitors from Arkansas, Colorado,
Missouri, New Jersey, South Carolina, Texas, and Virginia.
We are eager to once again offer an exciting opportunity for chili cooks and vendors across Eastern North Carolina and far and wide to participate
in this annual family-focused, safe event.
